A tuner is another important piece of practice equipment! A tuner will allow you to see whether or not you start your practice sessions in tune. Another, possibly more important, use for your tuner is to check which notes are more in tune on your instrument than others. EVERYONE TUNES DIFFERENTLY! Each instrument has different tuning tendencies and each musician has a different shape of their mouth, lips, teeth, throat, and jaw. Your job is to make sure you know which notes are your most out of tune notes. Once you know that, then adjust your embouchure, aperture, volume of air, and air speed to make all your notes in tune!
REMEMBER!!!! THESE INTONATION TENDENCIES ARE DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE!!!
